Logistics & Inventory Control Assistant
Position Summary
The Logistics & Inventory Control Assistant supports the Logistics and Inventory Control Coordinator with all shipping, receiving, and inventory-related activities across the estate. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate, timely fulfillment of direct-to-consumer orders, BCLDB shipments, and interdepartmental wine deliveries. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position ideal for someone who thrives in an organized, operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and ship direct-to-consumer orders, including features and Bench Club subscriptions
- Support BCLDB and other outbound shipping activities
- Print and process WineDirect and internal order documentation
- Monitor inventory par levels and process stock movements between warehouse facilities
- Pick and deliver wine orders for the Wine Shop, Terrafina Restaurant, and The Villa
- Receive and process onsite winery orders
- Support Wine Shop and Terrafina teams with order put-away and inventory organization
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse facilities and equipment
- Provide coverage for the Logistics & Inventory Control Coordinator during days off and vacation periods
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to learn and use company-wide operating and ordering systems
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
Assets:
- Previous logistics, warehouse, inventory, or shipping experience
- Experience with WineDirect or similar systems
- Forklift or warehouse equipment experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, scissor lift)
