Three Golds & a Double Gold for Hester Creek

This is an example of Okanagan wine proving that it can stand up to International competition!

Canadian wine is starting to make an impact in international markets and the Okanagan Valley is no exception. While Hester Creek wines are still only available for purchase in Canada, this hasn’t stopped them from gaining international recognition. We’re all so proud of the wine that is coming out of this region and couldn’t be happier to acknowledge our winemaking team in their persuit to create world-class wines to be enjoyed both locally and afar.

We’re excited to announce the Gold and Double Gold medal winners from 11th annual Great Northwest Invitational Wine Competition 🥇

In 2022, our 2021 Viognier received Double Gold at Cascadia International Wine Competition and a Gold at the San Francisco International Wine Competition. Now in 2023, the 2022 vintage has won Double Gold twice! Once at Cascadia and again at The Invitational hosted by Great Northwest Wine. We’re thrilled to announce that it has been invited back to the Platinum Awards hosted by Great Northwest Wine where it will be judged for a Platinum award.

The list of wines for The Invite is curated by 15 professionals – sommeliers, journalists, restauranteurs, distributers & retailers – in wine who were asked to nominate approximately 100 wines each that they would like to judge. From October 3rd to 5th, these sommeliers gathered at the Columbia Gorge Hotel & Spa in Hood River, Oregon to blind taste the wines and give their scores.
